Not sure what to do with your kids this weekend? BPL can help. We polled our over 1,000 staff members to find out where they like to take the kids in their life. And no kidding around, here are their favorite places to take children in Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Children’s Museum: “It is informative, awesome, wondrous and makes learning fun.”
Coney Island: “Beach, food and rides! Can’t go wrong.”
Brooklyn Botanic Garden: “They can run around in the grass and look at the flowers…”
Other faves included the Prospect Park Zoo, NY Aquarium, Transit Museum, Puppetworks and Waterfront Museum and Showboat Barge.
We also think the library is a great place for kids. Check out our events calendar to find programs for your kids.

Punk rock band Harry and the Potters, much like their famous fictional counterpart, like to make the magic happen. The only difference is they do it with microphones, guitars and speakers.

They’ve played all over the United States, and this Saturday at 3:30 PM, they’ll be coming back to Central Library. After a fantastic performance two years ago, they’ll be putting on another show on our Plaza. Come out with the family to see their take on the popular books and characters. And, for more live music at Central Library, visit our website to see what the Dweck Center has in store for you this fall.
