Brooklyn-born comedienne and actress Andrea Rosen is no stranger to fame. Rosen has made appearances on HBO’s Flight of the Concords, and VH1’s All Access, as well as the stand-up comedy circuit. When she isn’t tickling our funny bones, Andrea Rosen is perusing the pages of her favorite reads. These are her picks:

The Elegance of the Edgehog by Muriel Barbery

The Road by Cornarc McCarthy

The Abstinence Teacher by Tom Perrotta

The Sportswriter by Richard Ford

Postcards from the Edge by Carrie Fischer

Vote

Tomorrow is Election Day, and Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) has all the resources you need to cast a well-informed vote.  Visit our 2010 Elections and Voting Guide to read up on your candidates, find your polling place and learn about New York's new digital voting machines.

For people in a representative democracy, voting isn't just an obligation we need to fulfill, it's also a right we should celebrate.  Here at BPL, we encourage every eligible voter to read about the issues and turn out on Election Day.

Polling places are open from 6 AM to 9 PM but lines may be long, so be sure to bring a good book.
