Roll out the Red Carpet and get your extra buttered popcorn. Thanks to the Brooklyn Vanguard, the Brooklyn International Film Festival is coming to Brooklyn Public Library. You, too, can get in on the festivities. Come out for two nights of film viewings at the new Dweck Center at Central Library. Film-goers will be treated to two nights of independent films with a reception following both engagements.
On Tuesday June 3rd, catch a screening of Thing with No Name, an 84-minute documentary that peeks into the evolving South African culture. Following the viewing, movie goers can meet the film's director, Sarah Friedland, for some Q & A. If short films are your forte then you’ll definitely want to come out on Wednesday, June 4th for nine short films, each ranging from 3 to 18minutes in length.
