Petanque players grab your boules, berets and your favorite French pastry and make your way down to Smith Street. It’s most certainly a far cry from gay Paris, but Brooklyn will host its own annual celebration of Bastille Day.
On Sunday July 13th, Smith Street will set the scene for a French Independence day celebration like no other. Well, perhaps like no other in the U.S that is. Locals and foreigners alike will gather at Bar Tabac to enjoy an afternoon of French delicacies and partake in the 10th annual Petanque tournament.
