We’re now in that precious 17 week-short season of eating nachos, screaming loudly at strangers and sitting glued to the TV from 12:30PM to 12:30AM; it’s football season!
Brooklyn has some opinionated residents, and they make for some animated fans. Get together with others to watch the game at one of Citysearch’s top sports-watching spots.
And if you don’t want to just watch – you actually want to get in the game – you can join a flag football Meetup, which is playing its first game later this month.
Or perhaps you’re a former college player who has a case of the “I could haves…” and if so, try out for the Brooklyn Mariners, which is a semi-pro team. Games run through November, but try out now for next year, and you can wear a jersey with your own name on it in '09.
Maybe you just want to learn some stats to impress your friends and help your fantasy scores? Check out our collection of football books which includes titles like the 2008 Pro Football Prospectus and How to Win at Fantasy Football. Game on!
And if you have other suggestions of where to watch or play the game, tell us about it!
