You’re a bookworm. There’s no denying it. You have books on your bookshelves, some in your closet and a few stacked on your nightstand. Along with recent books, you have childhood favorites and a couple of coffee table books you got as gifts. But what’s with the school books?
The assigned fiction you begrudgingly read (and hated) freshman year and will never read again. And how many times will you read Romeo and Juliet and pretend you don’t know the gruesome ending?
This weekend, there’s a feel-good solution for tidying your space: The Great American Book Drive. On Saturday, October 4, along with our partner, Better World Books, BPL will turn your books into dollars to support your library.
While you’re there, enjoy the music of the Library’s own band, Lost in the Stacks, from 11 AM to 1 PM, and cool crafts for kids throughout the day.
If your shelves look empty, don’t fear: we will also be hosting a $1 book sale.
