Move over Manhattan -- Zagat is finally saying what Brooklynites have been saying for years; that food here is fit for a King (or a borough of Kings…)
Top honors in three cheap eats categories went to top Brooklyn spots:
- DuMont – Burger – Williamsburgh
- Fette Sau – BBQ – Williamsburgh
- Lucali – Pizza – Carroll Gardens (with DiFara’s in Midwood as #2)
There are also more “top rated restaurants” in Brooklyn this year than in the past, including Peter Luger and Al Di La, and Forbes does a great summary of trends, winners and, most importantly, stresses that the outer-borough spots, “generally cost less than half of what their Manhattan counterparts do.
Congrats to our borough-wide winners!
And for those who prefer to make their own "top-rated" meals at home, check out our cookbook collection.
