After the 82nd Academy Awards on Sunday night, the red carpet moments, nominees and winners were all the buzz. Many of last year’s nominated films are not yet available to view at home, but while you wait for those DVDs to come out, or for your DVD holds to come in, read the books that spawned these movies.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

The Blind Side

Coraline

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Julie and Julia

The Lovely Bones

Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire

The Princess and the Frog

Up in the Air

Let us know if there are any we forgot and we’ll add them to the list.
