Whether you’re looking to move up the corporate ladder, or start up your own business, Brooklyn Public Library’s got a program for you.
If you’re going on a job interview or pitching a great idea to your boss, speaking coach Jezra Kaye can show you how to Speak Up for Success. On Tuesday, March 16 at the Business Library, she’ll teach you to deliver a strong and persuasive message, think on your feet, convey your passion, and make every word count.
And if your passion is to start your own business, you’re also in luck! Apply to the PowerUP! Business Plan Competition, and you could win up to $15,000 to start a Brooklyn-based business. Past winner include Park Slope’s Bogota Latin Bistro and Fort Greene’s Greenlight Bookstore. Orientations start Tuesday, March 23 at the Business Library. Learn more about the competition, and register for an orientation session here.
