Whether you’d like to trace your family tree or play a version of “Name That Tune,” there’s something for everyone at your library this weekend. Check out some of what’s going on:
You count! Get more information on filling out the 2010 Census by visiting Kings Bay Library on Saturday at 12 PM.
Get in touch with your roots. On Saturday, visit Macon Library at 1 PM for a genealogy workshop with the African-Atlantic Genealogical Society.
Sing your heart out! There will be karaoke at Bay Ridge Library on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
Musical mystery! Bruce Adolphe gives a live version of his public radio program Piano Puzzlers at Central Library’s Dweck Center on Saturday at 4 PM. He’ll disguise popular tunes by rewriting them in the style of a classical composer, and you’ll have to name the tune and the composer.
Get an expert perspective on immigration. Author Steven V. Roberts visits Central Library’s Dweck Center on Sunday at 1:30 PM to discuss his book From Every End of This Earth: 13 Families and the New Lives They Made in America.
