Good financial advice is hard to come by and, these days, we can all use a little guidance. Brooklyn Public Library has a solution. We’ve partnered with the Office of Financial Empowerment, Mind Your Money and the Coalition of Debtor Education to offer Growing Dollars and Sense, a series of financial planning programs.
Through this series, teens and adults can attend workshops, seminars and one-on-one counseling sessions. Events cover topics from the basics, like opening a bank account and applying for a credit card, to the more advanced, like growing a nest egg and repairing your credit. These events begin this week for adults, next week for teens.

This program is made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through Smart investing@your library, a partnership with the American Library Association.
