He’s done plenty of movies, but I can never forget Ethan Hawke as Troy Dyer, the opinionated deep thinker of Reality Bites. If there’s anyone that would tell you what you should be reading, it’d be this mortal enemy of CliffsNotes. It’s a good thing Ethan has something in common with his classic 90s character: reading.

Here’s what Ethan will be reading this summer:
For Children
Hatchet by Gary Paulsen
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Rascal by Sterling North
Sounder by William H. Armstrong
For Adults
All My Friends Are Going to Be Strangers by Larry McMurtry
Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger
No Ordinary Time by Doris Kearns Goodwin
Once They Moved Like the Wind: Cochise, Geronimo, and the Apache Wars by David Roberts
The Razor's Edge by W. Somerset Maugham
Also, check out some of the DVDs you can find at your library starring Ethan Hawke.
