BPL’s annual Gala is Thursday, November 18, and now you can get tickets to the After-Party at a reduced price. The party features DJ Duane Harriott, a raffle and free giveaways, as well as an open bar for the first hour. It will be a great way to celebrate new directions for the Library.
Brooklyn’s own Maggie Gyllenhaal is a member of this year’s Gala Committee. We asked the acclaimed actress, who has gone from darling of the indie film world to respected Hollywood A-lister, to offer her recommended reading. Check out her favorite suggestions for kids and adults, and enjoy a good read. We’ll see you at the After-Party.
