It seems like only yesterday readers movie-goers were introduced to our favorite troubled hero, Harry Potter, and his entire magical wizard world. On November 19 we all get closer to the end of our time at Hogwarts with the theatrical release of the first part of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
If you are a mega-fan like me, chances are you pre-ordered and read this book back in 2007, and you were at the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in July 2009. This means your memory might be a bit foggy as to where things were left.
Here’s where your library card comes in handy!
You can reminisce about Harry’s thrilling first year as a new wizard, the introduction of Ginny Weasley, Sirius Black and his time at Azkaban and the excitement of the Triwazard Tournament. Relive the shocking revelations from members of the Order of the Phoenix and sixth book (Can you believe who ended up being the half-blood prince?). Finally you’ll arrive at Harry’s last and most important year at Hogwarts: the final battle with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!
If you don’t have time to reread the seven lengthy novels prior to the movie premiere, stop in at the Library and pick up the DVDs or audiobooks for an all-week marathon of Harry, Hogwarts and wizardly goodness.
What was your favorite Harry Potter moment? Did you enjoy the books more than the films? Let us know in the comments!
