Reading and Writing is Fundamental

It’s been said that all great authors started out as great readers. This must be the case for renowned author Matthew Goodman. When Goodman isn’t inking novels such as Jody’s Tree and The Sun and the Moon, he can be found enjoying a good book in his Park Slope abode.

These are some of his favorites:

Children’s Books:
The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
The Pushcart War by Jean Merrill
Next Stop, Grand Central by Maira Kalman

Adult Books:
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
A Dance to the Music of Time by Anthony Powell
